Distinguish frame shape, resolution and quality, then verify a finished file.
Aspect ratio describes the shape of the frame. Resolution describes its pixel dimensions. Quality settings affect how the result is encoded. These are related but different decisions. A high-quality setting does not automatically change a vertical project into a landscape one or recover lost source detail.
Use Project Settings for the intended frame shape and check the actual dimensions displayed in Export. For a vertical HD delivery, 1080 by 1920 is a useful target when your account and sources support it. A landscape HD delivery is 1920 by 1080. Free or limited accounts may export at a lower resolution and include Vidmoat branding. Use the available output for learning rather than treating an upgrade as a course requirement.
Start with a draft to check the edit cheaply and quickly. For delivery, MP4 is a practical option when offered. Use a frame rate that suits the source and destination; changing 30 fps footage to 60 fps does not create genuine captured motion. Watch the downloaded file all the way through. The timeline preview is not the final delivery check.

Choose the destination
Open Export. This vertical practice project is 1080 × 1920. Choose where it is going, or use Quick check for an early review. No export job was started for these screenshots.
The destination preset is a starting point. Read the summary before you render.
Read the actual settings
Expand Advanced settings. Inspect format, resolution, frame rate and quality. A larger output cannot restore detail that was never in the source. Options depend on the current project and plan.
Here the source is vertical, so Full is 1080 × 1920. This is not evidence of a 4K export.
Review on a small screen
The phone browser presents the same export task in a narrower view. Scroll within the settings if necessary, and read the final resolution before starting.
After a real export, open the resulting file and check picture, sound, captions and ending.

- Choose MP4 and suitable frame rate and quality settings where available.
- Render one draft, review it, then produce the required final version.

Prepare an MP4 for vertical phone viewing. Check the current canvas and permitted output dimensions, preserve the intended frame rate, and tell me about any branding or resolution limit before rendering. Do not start duplicate render jobs.
